Hanu-Man (2024)

Masala Meter 4/5 · Quality 7/10 · Telugu · Fantasy, Action

A small-town thief gets superpowers. India gets its own origin story.

Hanumanthu, a likeable village thief, finds a gem that gives him Hanuman-like strength, just as a comic-book-obsessed villain comes hunting for it. Teja Sajja makes the hero easy to root for.

Made on a fraction of the usual superhero budget, it gets real goosebumps out of its climax. A great pick for a mixed-age family night.
