Iqbal (2005)

Masala Meter 3/5 · Quality 8.5/10 · Hindi · Sports, Drama

A village boy who can't speak or hear, and a dream to bowl for India.

Iqbal is deaf and mute and obsessed with cricket. His father wants him in the fields; his sister and a washed-up coach believe otherwise.

An underdog story without fuss. It's simple and warm, and it's still the best Indian sports film for kids.

Where to watch in India: Prime Video, ZEE5, MX Player.
