A courtroom drama that will make you angry, then make you hope.

When an Irular tribal man vanishes from police custody, his pregnant wife Sengeni turns to a lawyer, Chandru (Suriya), who takes on the system for free. It's based on a real 1990s case, and the custody scenes are hard to watch.

Suriya underplays it beautifully, but it's Lijomol Jose as Sengeni who you'll remember. One of the most important Indian films of the decade.

Where to watch in India: Prime Video, ManoramaMAX, MX Player.
